Question :
What is 'Cross-Multiplication' ?

Answer :
When you multiply the numerator on one side of an equation, by the denominator on the other side of the equation, cross multiplication takes place.
This operation is carried out for both sides of an equation in order to eliminate fractions.
For Example,
8 x 3 = 12 x 2
Hence, 24 = 24
If one term of a proportion is not known, cross multiplication can be used to find the value of that term.
