The Distributive Law, one of the basic laws of algebra, says:
a (b + c) = a b + a c |

For Example : |

4 . (1 + 2) = 4 . 1 + 4 . 2 |
|
On solving LHS, we get 4 . 3. While solving RHS, we get 4 + 8 |
|
Further on solving LHS, we get 12 which is same as answer obtained on solving RHS. |
